The annual NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive – billed as the largest one-day food drive in the nation and probably the world – takes place the second Saturday in May each year. Last year, they collected more than 73 million pounds of food.
NALC stands for the National Association of Letter Carriers, the union of postal workers.
This year, postal carriers will pick up food when they drop off your mail tomorrow, Saturday, May 9. Check out your pantry and see if you can leave a few items by your mailbox to help the hungry.
