Yesterday I wore one of my favorite necklaces and I wanted to share it with you:

It’s a skull, of course, the icon that is so stylish (and so derided by Stacy & Clinton of “What Not to Wear”). I get tons of compliments on it.
And it’s made by Vling from an old vinyl record album. If you look closely, you can still see the grooves beneath the smoothed-over surface.
I bought it from a store in my community, All Things Renewable, that focuses on everything environmentally friendly. They still have a few repurposed vinyl necklaces in stock. I bought a horse for Mlle. Cheap, and they still have a hammerhead shark, lightning-bolt earrings and some fleur-de-lis necklaces and earrings.
I love when fashion and good deeds go together — making style you can really feel good about.

That necklace is full of win. Stacy and Clinton are full of fail. And that’s coming from someone who lives to judge people.
@Toni – Now, I like Stacy and Clinton. I am just perplexed that they seem to truly believe that I should live my life (which revolves around working in my basement, going to the grocery store and shuttling my child to her activities) in a cute dress and a “nice heel”!
Love, love, LOVE the skull necklace! Clinton and Stacy would kick my butt too because I have quite a few skull things around from my punk and Rennie past. But when you have a one eyed pirate dog, how can you entirely give up on skull motif?
I, too, love the skull! I’m going to make Anne take me to the store to check out the other goods… as if I need to buy more stuff. For the sake of economic stimulus, by god will I SPEND!
They have wallets I’m totally craving, made from billboard fabric. Did you know billboard ads are made from a plastic fabric? I didn’t, till I saw the wallets and then noticed how rumpled our billboards look after our recent windy weather.
