Frugal Dad today posted a call for participants for the show “Wife Swap.” You get $20,000 for torturing your family — but some people are into that!
They are especially looking for families into clipping coupons.
Potential families can live anywhere in the United States, but we ask that families applying for the show consist of two parents and have at least one child, age 7 or older, living at home. Specifically, I’m looking for families who know how to save a buck by clipping coupons! If you’re serious about your coupon regime, I want to hear from you! It amazes me that people participate in this and saddens me that the show even exists. I seen it flipping through the channels a couple times and they deliberately create controversy by swapping wives into families that are almost the opposite of their own.

I can’t believe they drag kids into these shows. Imagine being seven years old and having your mom leave and another “mom” move in, not to mention the fact that there would be a TV crew in your house around the clock. And then, after they edit the show down to your worst moments, they broadcast it on TV so everyone at school can make fun of you forever!
