I got this message in my email this week. I’ve signed up — it will give me a great excuse to get the energy audit I’ve been putting off, and possibly access some new rebates for energy-efficiency improvements to my home. If you’ve already had an energy audit, you can use that for the challenge.
Who doesn’t want to save a little money? Don’t be left in the cold on energy savings; check out the inaugural Denver Energy Challenge and save up to 15% on your energy bill.
The Denver Energy Challenge is a City sponsored effort to connect the community to energy outreach, education, and assistance programs available in the City and County of Denver. You can begin saving money with three easy steps:
1. Sign up for the challenge at www.denverenergy.org
2. An Energy Advisor will contact you for a FREE discussion about your home or business energy usage, review available rebates, and help you prioritize the best ways to save
3. Complete suggested energy efficiency improvements
Participants in the challenge save energy and money, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions in support of the Denver Climate Action Plan. By July 2013, the Challenge aims to reduce energy use of participating homes and businesses by 15% or more, reach 6,000 residential participants, and reach 1,200 business participants.
