This week I have just two posts to share with you, both from Grist, both related to our Food Rules series.
- First, if you need any more negative reinforcement about what not to eat, enjoy this slide show of revolting foods … such as “whole chicken in a can” or “whole cheeseburger in a can.” That’s right. I mean, wrong.
- If you would prefer positive reinforcement, Umbra Fisk at Grist had exactly the same thought I did when Pollan wrote in his book that you can eat all the junk food you want, as long as you make it yourself, and then called Twinkies on the carpet for their junkiness. I have already told a couple of friends I would make a Twinkie during this challenge to show it can be done, but I haven’t gotten around to it. But Umbra has. If you want her recipe for homemade, organic Twinkies, click over here — and let us know how it goes!
