I had the same basket every year. I don't understand why we need so much plastic for this holiday. Silly. At least reuse things like the plastic eggs and baskets.

The first Easter basket I remember was a bunny that my mom made from a milk carton covered in cotten balls. My made them because that's what she had growing up. Ah...memories :)

We always reused the bunny basket, grass, etc. After many Easters the bunny bit the dust and my mom, oh excuse me, The Easter Bunny, brought us baskets, which we used every year. In fact, my mom gave me mine the last time I visited and I'm an adult!

Yesterday I ordered swim goggles for the three kids and three simple books ($2.99 Golden Classics) which I will put in their baskets. We have baskets that we have been using for the past few years (and chocolate smelling paper "Easter grass". We will add some classic peeps and a little chocolate and then the last thing that I always do is get new pjs for each of the kids. Basically, I want to de-emphisize the candy aspect. I am also thinking that perhaps this year the "Easter Bunny" will leave clues or a map to make it a little more interesting. I have a recipe for natural dyes which I have yet to use. Maybe this year?
