I spread coffee grounds in my potted plants when I don't have compost. It's a good alternative if you don't have room for a copost or worm bin.

If you have a filter that gives out acidic water like the ones from http://www.lifeionizers.com/?utm_source=A&utm_medium=B&utm_campaign=C have, you can also stick this in your garden to help your plants grow. I keep my plants healthy this way.

I have used coffee grounds in the garden for awhile now. It is great in the compost bin, but don't over feed your wormbin with grounds- nobody likes a worm with coffee jitters! And i spread grounds around my huckleberrys to help make up for the lack of pine needles.
